Joe Clyde Williams(1948 - 2017)

April 7, 1948 - January 14, 2017
Joe Clyde Williams Jr., 68 years old, January 14th, 2017, Joe-Boy left this world and moved onto his new journey into the worlds above and beyond. It is impossible to encapsulate such an amazing life and human being into a fixed set of words but he was a lion of a man with a heart of gold who will be missed beyond measure. Beloved father, brother, son, uncle, cousin, husband, friend, confidant as well as a true patriot who served our country courageously in the Army 82nd Airborne Division. He was a brilliant man and proud business owner who graciously served the healthcare community for nearly half of his life. Joe was a superior athlete who possessed a grit and unfettered spirit that allowed him to accomplish almost anything he put his mind to. Fascinated by people and the world around him he led a beautiful and exciting life full of love, laughter, travel and adventure. He was always first to lend a hand or take the shirt off his back for whomever was in need. Joe loved fiercely and was equally loved and admired by many near and far. His absence leaves this world a little darker and less joyful but those closest to him can rest knowing that his soul is restored, at peace and rejoined with his son's and the rest our dearly departed. Joe fought a frustrating battle with Lewy Body Dementia which ultimately took him from us too soon. He was a North Carolina boy through and through and will be returned there to sacred family ground. In lieu of a formal memorial, his family encourages everyone to celebrate and pay their respects to Joe in a way they find personal, special and that he would deem fit. I'm sure that he would also appreciate a smile and a glass held high in his memory. Survived by his daughter Nicole Williams; ex-wife and caretaker Elaine Kantar; sister Debbie Earley; neices Michelle Williams and Tarin Williams; nephew Marshall Earley; great nephew Joseph Williams and many extended family members and friends in North Carolina and across the globe. Joe Williams, you were so loved, until we meet again!
