VIRGINIA A. "GIN" BERLIN was born in Galveston, TX on July 2, 1945 to the late Leonard & Betty Burch Berlin, who are both buried at Arlington National Cemetery. Moving from place to place as her father's military assignments changed, Gin attended schools in many different locations and graduated from Johnson High School in Japan; then with the retirement of her father, the family moved back to Oil City, PA. Gin attended and graduated from the VoTech Nursing program and worked as an LPN for Grandview HealthCare and the Oil City Hospital, where Gin became an avid bingo player.

At noon on Tuesday April 1, 2008 at the Golden Living Center of Oil City, Gin passed away following an extended illness. Gin is survived by her close friend Ralph E. Motter also of Oil City. At her request, there was no viewing or visitation and she was cremated and interned at Heckathorn Church Cemetery, Venango County, Pennsylvania. Memorials may be made to the VNA Foundation, 176 E. Bissell Ave. Oil City, Pa. 16301.
