Bonnie Frances Bannowsky Johnson was born December 28, 1946, in Brownsville, Texas and passed away January. 22, 2015 in Longview, Washington; she was a member of the class of 1964. Her older brother Bill Bannowsky also attended JHS.

Bonnie grew up as a “military brat” and graduated from Johnson High School near Tokyo. She settled in the San Francisco area after high school, moving to Washington in the mid-1970s.Bonnie was a Christian and God was No. 1 in her life, closely followed by her vocation as a wife and mother. She dedicated her life to being a foster parent and welcomed many children into her home.She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Johnson; her father Alfred Bannowsky; a brother, Glenn Bannowsky; and two sisters, Lisa Bannowsky and Shiri-Dine Bana.

Bonnie is survived by four daughters, Roberta Alba-Estrada, and Anna-Lisa, Crystal, and Alexandra Johnson; a son, Warren Robinson; a son-in-law, Laudencio Alba-Estrada; her mother, Pauline Stephenson; two brothers, Alfred Bannowsky Jr., and Chris Bannowsky; and five grandchildren, Maria, Jisela, Abriana and Marcos Alba-Estrada and Calixto Johnson.

No public service will be held at Bonnie’s request. A private service and distribution of ashes will be held during the summer. Since Bonnie was a lover of animals. Donations in her memory may be made to the Humane Society of Cowlitz County, P.O. Box 172, Longview, WA 98632.
