Clay Goltry - Class Of 1964

Clay Goltry

1945 - 2018

Clay Goltry given name was Leonard Clayton Goltry and he was born on 10/21/1945.  He was living in Prattsville, Alabama at the time of his death on December 28, 2018.  He had many friends from Johnson High School, Japan and found our Facebook page the same year he came to his first JHS reunion in San Destin, FL in 2012.  Many were excited he had found us again and here are a couple of comments when he joined Facebook as well as at the time of his death:

Hey Clay! You won't believe it but I still have my trophy from the "mash potato" contest we won dancing together! Couldn't part with the only trophy I ever won for anything! Ha! Welcome.

John Tipton

A psychologist? A lot of us could really use one of those in this group. Kay has become amazingly adept at unearthing our former classmates. Judy Boyd is out there somewhere and now that we've got you as bait, it's just a matter of time.

More sad news. Just got word that another member of JHS Class of '64 passed away yesterday, December 28, 2018  - Clay Goltry. Clay did not attend any of our reunions, to my memory, but he was likeable and active on the JHS FB page. Most of us remember Clay, back in the day, as a popular guy at the Johnson Teen Club for his dancing talent. Will not be forgotten.

Bunny Brown
