Funeral services celebrating the life of Linda Wooley Fewell Blanchard will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 7, 2019 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with Reverend Dennis Snoddy officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball immediately following the service.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Hixson Brothers, Pineville Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and continued Monday from 8:30 a.m. until time of service.
Pallbearers will be Carey Blanchard IV, David Elliott, Nathan Elliott and Benjy Doyle.
Mrs. Blanchard, 72, of Pineville, passed from this life on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.
Linda was the pianist at Cloverdale Baptist church where she was an active member and part of the Women’s Missionary Union. She loved making crafts, which included quilting, cross-stitching, crocheting and painting. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority and enjoyed contributing to the community in different ways. Linda loved to travel and some of her favorite trips were her high school reunions. Her most favorite times were those spent with her family, especially the family that called her Granny.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Reverend Tom Fewell and parents, Patrick Vardell Wooley, Jr. and Myrtle Lee Fox Wooley.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Carey Blanchard; sons, Patrick Fewell and Jason Fewell and wife, Dawn; daughter, Amy Fewell Drake and husband, Chris; brother, Jake Wooley and wife, Terri Marcusen; grandchildren, Lindsey Fewell, Landon Fewell, Cooper Drake, Emory Drake and Micah Drake; step-sons, Carey Blanchard IV and wife Susan and James Blanchard; step-daughters, Alice Martin and husband, Lake, and Sarah Blanchard and fiancé, Stephen Hightower; step-grandchildren, Joshua, Zachary, Adam, Brendan, Lynn, Mirah, Laina, Austin, Emma and Aaron, and a host of other family members and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Semper Fi Fund or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital


The Johnson High alumni will miss Linda very much.
