1949 - 1993

 

Roger Joseph Tremblay, Jr., age 44 of Macon, GA, went to with our Lord on 25 November 1993. Roger was born 17 March 1949 in Richmond, VA to Roger Joseph Tremblay Sr. and Dorothy Marie Tremblay.

His father was a fighter pilot and Roger Jr. and his wife, Loreen, grew up in Japan as both fathers did 2 tours there. (1957-1967 & 1958-1968) After graduating and returning to the U.S. Roger Jr. enlisted in the USAF, his father Lt.Col. Roger Sr. swore him in, in Salem, MASS on 6 July 1967. He was stationed at Vandenburg AFB, CA, Viet Nam and Loring AFB, Maine. He was discharged as S/Sgt on 20 July 1971. He moved to Warner Robins, GA and attended college, graduated from Middle Georgia College in Milledgeville, GA, married and started a family. He was an agent for Equitable, Hartford, Allstate Insurance then lastly Georgia Farm Bureau.

 

Roger is survived by his children: Vanessa, Roger III, John and Theresa Tremblay of Lugoff, SC, his father Roger J. Tremblay Sr. of Merritt Island, FL, his mother Dorothy Tremblay of Macon, GA, his siblings Steve Tremblay of Pass Christian, MS, Cindy Tremblay Davis of Dallas, GA and Kathryn Tremblay Taylor of Macon, Ga and his grandmother Lea LeBel Tremblay of Salem, MASS.

 

Funeral Mass was held at 1pm Monday in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Macon, GA. A rosary was said at 7:30pm Sunday in Harts Mortuary.

 

 

The Johnson High alumni will miss Roger very much.
