Mrs. Anita Gail Driggers Struss, age 61, of Aragon, passed away Monday, May 2, 2016, at her residence. Mrs. Struss was born in Anniston, AL on September 18, 1954, daughter of the former Novie Sue Shelton and the late Leon Driggers, Sr.

She was employed with Shaw Industries in Cartersville and was of the Christian faith. An accomplished artist, she enjoyed painting and crafts and was a avid runner and motorcyclist. Survivors include her husband, Eb Struss, to whom she was married on October 17, 1974; a daughter, Sabrina Wilson, and her husband, Mickey, Aragon; a grandson, Lane Wilson, Aragon; her mother, Novie Sue Driggers, Jacksonville, AL; 3 sisters, Diane Driggers, Silver Creek, Sheila Driggers, Rome, and Debbie Williams, Jacksonville, AL; a brother, Leon Driggers, Jr., and his wife, Sharon, Huntsville, AL; nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2016, at 4pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel. The Rev. Joel Smith will officiate.

Following the memorial service, she will be cremated according to her wishes. The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Thursday from 2pm until the service hour.

The Johnson High alumni will miss Anita very much.

Ray Dillon (1972)

Anita, I was shocked to learn of your passing.  I remember you as a sweetheart and all-around good soul.  I'm sure your entire family and all of your friends miss you terribly.  As do I.  God speed.
